Terms and Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the services provided by Mobile Mechanix ("we," "us," or "our"). By requesting our services, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions:

Service Agreement:

  • 1.1. Mobile Mechanix provides automotive repair and maintenance services on a mobile basis.
  • 1.2. By requesting our services, you confirm that you are the registered owner or authorized representative of the vehicle(s) for which the services are being performed and that the vehicle(s) has the necessary insurance cover.

Service Requests:

  • 2.1. You can request our services through our website, social media platforms, or by contacting us directly.
  • 2.2. We will make every reasonable effort to respond to your service request promptly.
  • 2.3. We reserve the right to decline or reschedule a service request based on: our availability; location; the nature of the requested service; or safety of our mechanics.

Pricing and Payments:

  • 3.1. The estimated pricing on labour and parts for our services will be provided to you before confirming your service request.
  • 3.2. A call out fee is due upon confirmation of the service request.
  • 3.3. Estimated prices on labour and parts are subject to change but will not affect confirmed service requests.
  • 3.4. Payment for labour is due upon completion of the services, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
  • 3.5. Payment for parts and their transport is due upon confirmation of which parts are needed before commencement of the services, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
  • 3.6. All parts remain our property until payment of our invoice in full.
  • 3.7. If we have to stop any repair job due to anything out of our control or any parts issue, half of the labour job is due on that day and the other half is due upon returning to finish the job.

Service Limitations:

  • 4.1. Our services are limited to the scope of automotive repairs and maintenance as agreed upon during the service request. Any additional work beyond the original scope shall require your written approval before proceeding.
  • 4.2. We reserve the right to refuse services that are beyond the scope of our expertise or require specialised equipment or facilities.
  • 4.3. We cannot be held responsible for any additional repairs or damages discovered during the course of the service unless caused by our negligence.
  • 4.4. We reserve the right to refuse the installation of any component or part which you have supplied that we believe will jeopardize the safety and reliable operation of a vehicle.
  • 4.5. We reserve the right to cancel any booking with no notice should circumstances dictate. We will always try where possible to make contact to cancel/postpone/reschedule, however from time to time, we are subject to circumstances outside of our control. In the event that we make a cancellation with less than 24 hours notice, we will refund the call out fee.
  • 4.6. We cannot promise that one diagnosis will solve every issue a vehicle has in a single repair procedure due to the complexity of a vehicle. If your vehicle diagnostic is incorrect, the full cost of work is still owed. Your self-diagnostics are not our responsibility. We shall not be held accountable for any pre-existing problems unrelated to our repairs or held accountable for problems you caused.
  • 4.7. We assume no responsibility for plastics, wires, spark plugs, metal parts, or rubber part breakages, like many plastics, wires, spark plugs, metal, and rubber parts used in vehicles, are brittle, strip and can break without warning no matter how carefully they are handled. This is especially true of plastics, wires, spark plugs, metal, or rubber parts that are exposed to sunlight, liquid, heat, internal, and external damage, or any normal wear and tear.

Liability and Warranty:

  • 5.1. We strive to provide high-quality and reliable services, but we cannot guarantee the performance or longevity of any repair or maintenance service.
  • 5.2. We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services, except where prohibited by law.
  • 5.3. We do not provide any warranty on parts or labour beyond the manufacturer's or supplier’s warranty, if applicable.

Cancellations and Rescheduling:

  • 6.1. If you need to cancel or reschedule a service appointment, please notify us at least 48 hours in advance, failure to which, the call out fee shall not be refunded.
  • 6.2. Failure to provide sufficient notice or repeated cancellations may result in refusal of future service requests.
  • 6.3. In the event that your vehicle is not at the address given for works to be undertaken, a period of 30 minutes will be allowed for the vehicle to be returned for works to be carried out. Outside of this 30 minute window, the mechanic will be at liberty to leave the address without any call out fee refund obligation.

Customer Responsibilities:

  • 7.1. It is your responsibility to provide accurate and complete information about your vehicle, known issues, the requested services and any specific requirements or preferences to the mechanic prior to service.
  • 7.2. You are responsible for providing clear access to the vehicle, a safe working environment for our mechanics and ensuring the security of your vehicle during the service.
  • 7.3. Some repairs can carry an element of risk and to ensure your safety it is imperative you maintain distance to avoid injury and/or damage to your vehicle.
  • 7.4. Whilst every effort is made to fit in and around your schedule, unfortunately, we can take no responsibility for your other appointments, for which you may require your vehicle. Please keep in mind when booking that your vehicle is booked in, and in some instances, working to time constraints is not always possible and as such, have alternative arrangements in place. If for any reason you need to change your booking, please let us know so we can move you to a different slot that suits.
  • 7.5. Contact us right away if you have a problem that is directly related to recently completed work so that we can set up diagnostics to look for and confirm a warrantable failure. A fresh fee will be assessed if the mechanic discovers a brand-new, unrelated problem or if you disregarded the mechanic’s recommendations. If you conduct your own repairs or take the vehicle somewhere else, before we can have a chance to assess the issue, we shall not be held responsible.
